We’re pleased to announce Edge is available for libraries across the country!
Following a collaborative process of development, including key input from organizations across the field and valuable feedback from libraries, Edge is now available to public libraries nationwide! Libraries across the country are invited to take part in this important program to strengthen their public technology services and make improvements to better serve communities.
There are four ways for libraries to participate in the Edge Initiative:
- Peer comparison libraries: Library leaders have asked for ways to compare themselves and their Edge results with peers. A select random sample of libraries has been invited to access all of the tools, resources and support provided by the Edge team. The participation of peer comparison libraries will contribute to a national data set that will help libraries across the country compare their results to other libraries of their size.
- Statewide launch: Seven states will roll-out Edge to public libraries statewide. Those states include: California, Connecticut, Illinois, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas. Libraries in these states with receive guidance and updates on participating in the Edge program through their State Library Agencies.
- Preview the program: State libraries in other states may choose to preview Edge with a limited number of libraries. Libraries interested in this opportunity are encouraged to contact their State Library Agencies about how they may be invited participate in the preview program.
- Individual participation: Individual libraries will also have access to participate in Edge on a first come, first serve basis.
